Extremely rare pair of Filipino sea urchins! practically identical, collected in the Philippines by one of our partners. Exclusive pair of hedgehogs for a special occasion. Finish in 14-karat gold plating.

These beautiful earrings made with miniature sea urchin skeletons, are a very special natural jewel. Each hedgehog is hand picked up by me or one of my friends around the world, directly from the beaches and picked up on the sand or among the diving rocks.

These hedgehogs measure approximately 10mm, an especially rare size as it is much more common to find much larger adult specimens. Here I have paired two very similar small specimens, but not exactly the same. Nature never does two things like it and there it is part of the beauty of these sea jewels.

Hedgehogs are stuffed with a polymer that adheres to the inner walls and makes them unbreakable. The exterior texture is natural, without any kind of treatment to keep the natural appearance of the sea urchin skeleton.

The crimping and finishing pieces are made of gold-plated 925 sterling silver, and the finishing front plate is a 14-carat gold alloy. Carefully placed in the two holes of the skeleton, prior to carving the shape to fit the pieces.

Each piece is a unique treasure.

*All our hedgehogs are found already dead in the sand.
